MALAWI’S
NYIKA NATIONAL PARK
This is Malawi’s largest national park, based in the north of the country spanning 3200 square kilometres across a highland granite plateau. The altitude of the park gives it a unique flavour with montane vegetation and undulating scenery atypical to most African safari areas.
A key feature of a Nyika Safari are the orchids of which there are over 200 species that flower during the rainy season – a special time to visit. There are also over 400 bird species found on the Nyika plateau. Combine the thrill of Safari with the joys of trekking or biking in a mountainous region with rolling grasslands, freshwater streams and waterfalls!
